No vertices when serializing a model

When I try to serialize the model imported from the ifc file found here:

http://projects.buildingsmartalliance.org/files/?artifact_id=4289

I get no vertices, normals or faces in the result. If I try the duplex model imported from:

http://projects.buildingsmartalliance.org/files/?artifact_id=4278

It work as I expect it should work.

Which of the files in the archive and which version of Bimserver and Plugin are you using? I tried Clinic_A_20110906_optimized.ifc (>12MB) from the first archive both with Bimserver 1.2RC7 and 1.2final - and both cases yield success. Can you provide any error messages? Or are you getting a json response with empty arrays but otherwise ok?
